Following a public tender CyberStream has been awarded the contract for the project «Pilot system for Electronic Services to farmers, using Innovative technologies of Information and Communications», from the Prefecture of Larissa.

The project includes the provision of the hardware and software infrastructure to support the development of a citizen information management system that will also serve enterprises and farmers. Furthermore, a monitoring system of environmental variables will be installed, measuring and broadcasting the values of numerous toxic substances through two measurement sites stationed alongside the banks of river Penios. The services of the information system as well as the measurements of the environmental data will be available to the public through a web portal, as well as through a voice activated portal, providing useful information by any telephone device.

The system will significantly improve the services offered to the public by the Prefecture of Larissa through general and personalized content as well, automated message broadcasting, execution of business transactions with the Prefecture through the Portal and extended statistical processing of data.

The Prefecture of Larissa treats the project with ultimate priority due both to its innovative characteristics – as far as the aspect of providing critical information to farmers is concerned – and the automation of processes and activities that currently consume significant human resources and creating overheads and delays during peak periods.

The project has a total duration of six months. CyberStream uses state of the art development tools for the internet and voice portals and supplies high technology measurement equipment for the quality control of water resources.
